Former Boohwal vocalist Jung Dong Ha (34) has been sued for damages of 90 million KRW (~83,900 USD) for refusing to offer a refund to the buyer of his sold used car, who requested to return the car due to his dissatisfaction.

According to the Bucheon Branch of the Incheon District Court, the plaintiff Mr. Park sued Jung Dong Ha for 90 million KRW on January 13. Mr. Park and Jung Dong Ha previously entered negotiations on a used car community site. Mr. Park paid Jung Dong Ha approximately 80 million KRW (~74,600 USD) for the singer's car. However, Mr. Park deemed the car to be unsatisfactory and requested to return the car and receive a refund to which Jung Dong Ha refused.

The singer's agency spoke on behalf of the singer to reveal his position. "Jung Dong Ha sold his car and then 4-5 months later, this buyer is now citing dissatisfaction and asking for a refund. However Jung Dong Ha clearly told the buyer about the areas that the car needed work on and the price had been adjusted accordingly. This process has been documented and witnessed... In addition Mr. Park has sued Jung Dong Ha for 10 million KRW more than what he paid for the car... We can't see this in any way other than that the buyer is purposely trying to use Jung Dong Ha's celebrity status to his benefit by starting this lawsuit... As of right now, we haven't received a notice from the court.. Once the legal process has started, if Jung Dong Ha's image becomes tarnished in this way, we are considering taking legal action for defamation of character."

The singer is currently in the midst of starting anew as a solo artist with his solo concert coming up at Konkuk University on March 14-15.
