It appears American artist Pharrell Williams wants to collaborate with G-Dragon, and designer Mina Kwon as evident by their recent exchange of tweets.

Pharrell Williams wrote, "These two are amazing talents.  Korean art is vast and next level.  Time to collab."

G-Dragon responded with, "Do it Let's Do it!!"

Fans may expect to see some future collaboration as these three talented artists clearly want to work together to make something amazing.

Aww this is going to be epic ♥♥ I think that GD is super excited and sounds like a fangirl on his tweet is because he really looks up to Pharrell. I saw an interview that Big Bang did with MTV & they asked what American aritist did they like best, and GD said that he really liked Pharrell. I feel so happy for him :D

And G-Dragon dude...I love you man...(well..kinda) but you sound so thirsty in this tweet. Keep it low for a bit though hahaha....

But yes. I get your excitement. It's Pharrell. It's the guy from the friggin Neptunes. Of course, he'll be acting like a fangirl here.

Just...be a little casual about it, will ya?

LMAO.

You fake-ass people here who jump at this opportunity are the same fake-ass people wanting Korea to have nothing to do with the American music industry because precious Kpop is supposed to be this clean and pretty entity that shouldn't be tainted by the 'evil' claws of American music.

It's so funny how completely hypocritical some of these people are when it comes to Kpop expanding in the west. They are excited that another well-known american producer is taking notice of their precious oppa (sorry G-dragon) and yet are the same people to bash American music like it's the plague. Be freakin' real with yourselves. There are tons of European and American producers that are really good out there but you are too busy listening to ONLY Kpop to take notice of that.

You guys ought to be straight with yourselves and stop shilly-shallying around with your erroneous opinions. Kpop is not some rainbow like seperate style of music that fell from the high heavens to earth...it was influenced by other types of music, appropriated from other styles of music to death and made into some cookie-cutter style of pop even more generic than pop music and I freakin LOVE IT! So let's not go about it like it's supposed to be Jesus' blood and act like it's better than anything else.

If G-Dragon is willing to work with an American producer, you better stop spouting all that crap about Kpop being better than American music. Both music worlds need to shake hands and be friends instead of being enemies. Stop being catty, peeps. Listen to any kind of music you want, it doesn't make you nasty or smelly or doesn't make you something else.

If y'all like Kpop only, fine. But don't go and all of a sudden kiss Pharrell's ass just because G-dragon is interested in HIM.

Oh. By the way, I love Kpop to death. But I know when to keep it real.

Peace. Yo.

Preach it bro. Preach. I admire that. :O The k-pop industry was influenced by the Western culture since America was the rave anyway. So all old style K-pop was derived from an essence of the Western culture anyways. ^-^

@fauxbourgeois I guess K-pop is doing it's job. It's one of Korea's biggest markets anyway. If they can sell themselves to us, and we buy it; that's all there is to it. I love it that way anyway. >:D

Because until now all collaborations where pretty lame and not a big success. And of course Kpop is influenced by America and they also work together with American Songwriters. All countries are influenced by something. America is influenced by Africa (hiphop) or Germany (classical music) ;) We can go on and on like that. But Kpop is very Unique and makes it their own. And it's going to be different when they go to America and collab. The media is one thing and Today's American music is simply not like it used to be. Back in the days you had music legends. Now you have Lady gaga and Bieber etc. That's why a few famous producers like Teddy Riley and babyface went to Korea/Japan to produce songs. They said American Artists from today has no soul and no feeling. ;) And that the American music industry is going the wrong way. American artists collaborate with Kpop? Hack nooo. And i have nothing against Pharrel though! I love his music! American artists can easily talk about S*x and get naked in music video's or talk about drugs. You don't see that in Kpop! So there is a reason why fans like Kpop more then Western music.
