Trot singer Jang Yoon Jung's family issues have unfortunately surfaced once again with recent news of her mother speaking of filing a lawsuit against Jang Yoon Jung and her agency CEO.

If you remember, Jang Yoon Jung unintentionally revealed that her mother and her brother had squandered all her earnings over the past 10 years, leaving her almost 1 million USD in debt, when her pre-interview for 'Healing Camp' was leaked. In response, her brother and mother had spoken up saying that her statements were false, and that her brother only borrowed a bit of money and was in the process of paying her back. Since then, the mother and brother have given several statements and several interviews, while Jang Yoon Jung has remained silent saying that there is no point in responding.

A tvN broadcast reported, "Jang Yoon Jung's mother Ms. Yook filed a 700 million KRW (~$613,000 USD) lawsuit against Jang Yoon Jung's agency CEO at a law firm in Seoul on the 1st."

Jang Yoon Jung's mother shared in an exclusive interview, "Jang Yoon Jung and her agency claimed that my son and I squandered Jang Yoon Jung's fortune, but that is not true. When I reflected on why this could have happened between me and my daughter, I realized that her agency had something to do with it. I remember lending money worth 700 million KRW to the CEO a few years ago. I wrote an IOU back in April 2007 and lent 700 million won to the CEO...The payback date was set for April 2008, but it still hasn't been repaid yet so I prepared a lawsuit."

The mother is also planning to sue her own daughter, who just recently got married,  for defamation.

In response to all this, Jang Yoon Jung's CEO has finally broken the silence, urging her mother to stop talking and actually take action like she keeps threatening to do so, so that he and Jang Yoon Jung can clear this up once and for all in the courts. The agency's rep also stated regarding the 700 million KRW, "It's a story they made up on their own. Our company has never been in a state where we needed to borrow that much money."

In addition, an individual, who has been revealed to be the mother's stepsister and Jang Yoon Jung's aunt, has claimed that Jang Yoon Jung's mother had always been greedy with money, and it was the singer's father who had to raise his daughter after his wife fell into gambling issues.

Jang Yoon Jung recently wed her husband, announcer Do Kyung Wan, last month. Hopefully, they will be able to move past this eventually and live a happily married life.
