Psy was not included in the nominations for the Grammy Awards.
The nominees for the '55th Grammy Awards' were officially announced on December 5th, but unfortunately Psy's "Gangnam Style" was nowhere to be found.
The music video is the most viewed of all time on YouTube and the song had staying power as it charted at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 for 7 consecutive weeks. Even as of this weeks Hot 100 chart, "Gangnam Style" is still ranked within the top 10, so many fans had hoped that he would be nominated for an award. However, Psy was not listed for any category, including 'Best New Artist', or 'Song of the Year'. One would assume that Psy should be nominated for 'Best New Artist' but because Psy released more than 3 albums in South Korea, he was ineligible for the 'Best New Artist' award.
A few netizens believed Psy wasn't nominated in the other categories because the Grammy Awards is based in the United States and his song wasn't even in English.
