Jang Geun Suk donates 7.1 tons of rice to the less fortunate

'Asia's Prince' Jang Geun Suk made a generous donation of 7.1 tons of rice thanks to his fans.

The rice was previously presented to Jang Geun Suk by his fans in an effort to cheer him on at the 'Love Rain' press conference. The actor has now donated the rice to be used towards helping the less fortunate in the Gangnam region of Seoul.

The neighborhood reported that they received the donation on August 8th, and the 'Visiting Mobile Food Market' will be going door to door to deliver the rice to poorly fed children, senior citizens living alone, as well as the severely disabled.

Jang Geun Suk decided to donate the rice after hearing that although there are a lot of people in the Gangnam area who live in difficult situations, not a lot of help is given to the area because it's known to be a posh and wealthy community for the most part.

"You must give back as much as you have been loved, and that's why I started donations," he said. "I will be sure to continue sharing and giving, instead of making this a one-time deal."
