IU placed first as 'The top singer of 2011' in an online poll.
Online music portal, Monkey3, conducted a poll with the question, '2011's most active singer of the year' from December 8th to the 14th, and IU won the poll with 29% of the votes.
In 2011, IU has been busy promoting for "Good Day", "The Story Only I Didn't Know", her OST for 'Dream High', "Someday", "Hold My Head", the OST for 'The Greatest Love', and the title song for SBS's 'Kiss and Cry', "Ice Flower", spreading the IU fever as her songs dominated the music charts. In addition, her recent song, "You & I", has been receiving much popularity and become a hot trend in the music industry.
Following IU on the poll was B2ST with their hit songs, "On Rainy Days" and "Fiction", as they won 19% of the votes. Big Bang (15%), Leessang (14%), T-ara (13%) and 2NE1 (11%) rounded out the results.
