Key East files a lawsuit against MOGEF in defense of Kim Hyun Joong's "Please"

On October 12th, the Seoul Administrative Court revealed that Key East Entertainment filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family on behalf of Kim Hyun Joong. Kim Hyun Joong's agency is protesting the ban placed against his song, "Please". Key East is requesting that the MOGEF withdraw their ban on Kim Hyun Joong's digital single album and music video. Representatives stated, "The only lyrics referencing to alcohol in his June release, 'Please', are two lines stating, 'I am drunk', and 'Between the spread of the cigarette smoke'. These two are not lines referencing the effects of drugs." They continued, "The use of alcohol and cigarettes is not a major theme in the song. Furthermore, the Ministry has failed to ban songs that reference to drugs more directly and explicitly. The decision made on Kim Hyun Joong's album is unjust." Source + Photos: Chosun via Naver
