Younha, Lion Media try to reach amicable agreement about lawsuits

On September 21st, Younha and her lawyers attended a mediation session with her agency, Lion Media, at the 373th Seoul Central District Court to discuss a solution to their two lawsuits. Earlier this year, Younha had filed a lawsuit against Lion Media asking to terminate her contract with the agency because the terms which she had signed under were unfair and exploited the fact that she was young and naive about the industry. They had also failed to properly reimburse her wages. Lion Media followed by filing a countersuit for $1 million USD for breached contract damages. While they agreed to mediation, the two parties were unfortunately unable to close the gap between the differences in their opinions.� Still, both parties expressed a desire in working things out positively. Through Star News, representatives of Lion Media revealed, "We're all trying very hard to resolve this.� Aside from legal action, we're trying to work this out through conversations.� We will work to steer this in a positive direction."
