On August 3rd, SECRET made their official Japanese debut with "Madonna", and like SNSD and KARA before them, they've already secured a strong spot on Japan's Oricon weekly chart!
On August 10th, the chart updated with news that SECRET placed ninth with 13,124 singles sold! The girls are only a little off from eighth place, which was taken by Amuro Namie.
Also noted is the fact that SECRET is the third girl group to enter in the' Top 10' on the Oricon weekly chart, following just after SNSD and KARA. Oricon chart's homepage spotlighted SECRET as the artist to look out for, and supported the girls by featuring an interview as well.
Speaking through TS Entertainment, the girls said, "We consider this as a successful start. We will work hard to make sure that we can achieve greater results in the future."
