After dropping four short teasers, 2NE1 has finally released their new song and MV, "Lonely"!
It's a gorgeous ballad that deviates from their usual aggressive style. By emphasizing their natural vocals, producer Teddy gave Blackjacks what they've been asking for - an untouched demonstration of their idols' musical talents.
As for the song itself, it expresses the perspective of a person who harbors an unreachable loneliness, even when they're with their lover.
Although YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk stated that there'll be no formal promotions for the song, we get the feeling that they'll change their minds once they see its explosive popularity.
