Singer Park Hyo Shin was selected to serve in the entertainment division of the army. On January 28th, the Defense Information Service revealed, "Singer Park Hyo Shin was chosen as the new addition to the entertainment division". The singer was admitted into the army on December 21st of last year, and received basic training for five weeks at boot camp. A Defense Information Service representative said, "Park Hyo Shin was chosen due to his 11 years of experience of producing and live performances as a singer. He can use those skills for the Armed Forces Broadcasting and boost the morale of the officers". In response to the appointment, the singer responded, "I think of this as an honor. I will use everything I learned from the beginning and at the five-week long boot camp training to fulfill my new duties". Currently, singer Kim Jung Hoon from the group UN, Choi Jae Ho/Kim Yoon Sung of Dynamic Duo, Andy from Shinhwa, actor Lee Dong Wook, Boom, actor Lee Joon Ki, Kim Ji Suk, and Lee Wan are all currently serving in the entertainment division. The officers in this division are usually responsible for the Army Broadcasting TV and radio stations, along with Korea's longest running TV show, "Entertainment Train", where they visit military personnel and boost the morale while filling the cultural needs of the servicemen.
