Filming of MBC's Idol Star Athletics and Swimming Championships affected by heavy snowfall

The heavens must be jealous of our favourite idols and their athletic capabilities. Filming for MBC's Korean New Year special feature "Idol Star Athletics and Swimming Championships" was affected due to unexpected heavy snowfall in the Jamsil, Seoul area. The filming of the show was set to begin at 7PM, and the idols were supposed to arrive by 5 to prepare for filming. However, heavy and unexpected snowfall left most of the idol stars and the filming crew stuck in traffic, substantially delaying the whole process. In addition, outdoor track events like the 100m dash that was to be filmed at the Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium had to be replaced with a 50m indoor dash at the nearby Jamsil Gymnasium. The show features many of our favourite stars including but not limited to: Kim Dong Wan, Chae Yeon, Hwang Bo, Seungri, Brown Eyed Girls, Rainbow, Marco, miss A, B2ST, SHINee, SECRET, SISTAR, SeeYa, IU, INFINITE, After School, ZE:A, f(x), MBLAQ, U-Kiss, Jewelry, Nine Muses, 2PM, 2AM, Supernova, Touch, Dal Shabet, T-ara. The swimming portion of the Idol Star Athletics and Swimming Championships will be filmed on the 30th and it will be broadcasted in 2 parts over MBC from February 5 - 6th, so stay tuned.
