IU will no longer be performing her three high notes for "Good Day"

Singer IU has made a solid�comeback, thanks to her three high notes at the end of "Good Day". The industry is undeniably infatuated with IU, and she's even managed to create a 'high note train', as seen by the emergence of 'five high-notes' and even 'seven high-notes' singers. Unfortunately, the young artist has expressed that she will no longer be performing those trademark notes. In an interview with Herald Economy on December 28th, IU stated that she wanted to show that there was more to her talents than just being able to hit high notes. "Being able to perform high notes is an important aspect of the song, but that's not all there is to it. True vocal talent is being able to deliver your song to the public with just the song itself. As opposed to actual skill, I believe that emotions are more important," said IU. Regarding the hit of her duet collaborations with 2AM's Seulong and Sung Shi Kyung, she responded, "I've done so many duets that I feel as if whatever I was lacking has gone down. I think my voice fits well with that of male singers, since my voice sounds very thin when I sing. It matches well with the warm voice of men, especially Sung Shi Kyung oppa's." Source: HeraldM
