Formula One or more commonly known as simply F1 is the highest class of auto racing in the world. It is also a massive television event, with an aggregate global audience of 600 million people per race. And on October 24th, Korea will be ushering it's first-ever Formula One race. The Korean Grand Prix will be the 17th leg of the 19-race season, meaning that it could have a significant meaning towards determining who becomes the champion. The Yeongam circuit will be constructed in South Jeolla Province, 320km south of Seoul and is expected to boost tourism and bring in the money. A lavish ceremony was held on March 31st at the Seoul Grand Hilton Hotel Convention Center to launch ticket sales for the event, with actor Ryu Si Won, a race car driver himself and special F1 envoy hosting the event.
