Wonder Girls Mimi postpones her career, trainee Lim will join!
An official announcement from JYP Entertainment has been released via Wondergirlsworld.com:
JYP Entertainment has announced that Mimi from the Wonder Girls has decided to postpone her musical career to pursue an academic career.
Mimi, the rest of the Wonder Girls members, her family, and JYP Entertainment have collectively decided to postpone her musical career for the time being.
JYP Entertainment said, “Mimi had a truly memorable, once in a lifetime experience while living in the U.S. and touring over 50 cities. We support her decision to pursue an academic career at this time. We will also support Mimi if she chooses to return to singing after her academics are complete. In the meantime, she plans to frequent JYP facilities and continue her dance and vocal classes.”
Mimi will remain with the Wonder Girls in the U.S., continuing with any scheduled performances and activities until the end of February. As of March, she will return to Korea and prepare to focus on her studies. JYP has named 17 year old Lim as the newest member to the quintet. Lim has gone through extensive training at the JYP Academy for three years and is fluent in four languages: English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Lim was recently spotted in a dance clip and rumored to debut through the “Chinese Wonder Girls,” but that no longer applies!

JYP…who are u kidding seriously..fluent in 4 languages urgh we’re not stupid u know. Lim’s chinese is not fluent at all. and cantonese is not a language..it’s just a dialect. lol if cantonese is counted as a language…the chinese are probably fluent in 6 or 7 languages excluding english. I’m not gonna comment on her english since i’ve never heard her speaking it. I really think this is the end of Sunmi in wg…jyp replaced sunmi in wg but didnt replace jay..urgghh i can’t imagine wg without sunmi.

idont know about JYP’s decision i mean if he can do that what if jay doesnt come back will he find a replacement for him to …. im sad poor mimi :( it must not ba easy to decide to leave and then have a replacement i wouldnt :(

artists make tough decisions in life and there’s always going to people who don’t like it. let her do what she wants. you can’t compare the jaebeom incident with this, jae was pretty much forced to leave, i know i probably would. sunmi leaving is her own choice. leaving it a 4-girl group would mean that if sohee were to leave, it would become a 3-girl group, due to your selfishness.
sorry for another post but i think the girl Fei Fei is better at dancing and popping..
oh sad…but nothing is worng getting a higher education…but that new girl is a very good dancer too…idk about her singing..and knowing 4 languages? that is ONE talented girl then…GOOD LUCK TO BOTH GIRLS!

im not a wondergirls fan, but im kind of sad that sunmi is leaving the group. alot people has been calling sunmi the next jaebeom. hope her fans respect her decision to pursue a higher education. it probably wasnt easy for her to decide to just leave the group. but the new girl, hae lim, is really talented and capable of speaking 4 languages. good luck to both girls.
so i already ranted and screamed my head off with my friend so im done with that, but im STILL GOING TO MISS MY 4D SUNMI A LOTT… dammit i miss the wonder girls. at least she’s sill gonna be promoting wtih the wondergirls in the U.S….. i respect her, but im still really heartbroken. this is like jay all over again. kindaish. ughhh
