Girl group NewJeans was selected as a '2023 Next Generation Leader' by 'TIME' magazine, an American current affairs magazine.
In fact, NewJeans achieved remarkable results in the global music market less than a year after their debut. TIME found that two of NewJeans' songs ("OMG" and "Ditto") stayed on Billboard's 'Hot 100' for 5 weeks this year. TIME also added that NewJeans will be the first Kpop girl group to perform on the Chicago stage of 'Lollapalooza' in the coming August.
TIME said, "NewJeans' popularity is not surprising," and cited Min Hee Jin, CEO of ADOR, as the background. CEO Min Hee Jin, who has already made a name for herself in the branding of many famous groups, is evaluated for presenting a new paradigm of K-Pop through NewJeans.
The members of NewJeans shared, “It is a great joy to be able to do what we really enjoy and love,” and "I feel really lucky to be a part of K-Pop in this era."
They concluded by saying, "As long as we continue to be with each other, enjoy the stage, and make music, I look forward to everything, whatever our future holds."
