Korean-American singer-songwriter Sobae is back with Episode 3 of Sobae’s Balls, a Youtube web show where she is broadcasting the entire process of writing her next song based on the inspiration she draws from her viewers.

In Episode 3, the struggle is real for this independent musician as tries to pump out a melody to sing over the instrumental she revealed in Episode 2.

Then she invites a fellow independent producer/rapper Goldy for an interview in the ball pool, where awkward hilarity ensues as Sobae (aptly) attempts to name the segment “Between Two Balls,” in reference to “Between Two Ferns.”

The episode ends with a vertigo-inducing shot from a skyrocketing amusement park ride, promising a thrilling next installment of the Youtube series.

Debuting last year, Sobae has been self-producing music and videos at a quality deserving of more attention than she is currently receiving. Her diverse talents and quirky personality especially shine through in this episode, as she embodies a blend of Korean-American homegirl-ness we simply don’t have enough of.
