Hopefully Jennie will finally leave the industry and do something she actually enjoys. She ruined her image as an idol anyway with her very questionable decisions, like being on "The Idol"

Given the amount of unbridled hatred and constant criticism that Jennie has faced during her career, I wouldn't be surprised if she basically disappeared completely from the public eye and lived a quiet life off her idol money. 

It seems like she’s really going for the slutty route. Making shows at strip clubs and now she’s dressing like a prostitute. I think being under YG really put limitations to her, having an image forced into her that was different from her personality. She was supposed to be the next Minzy, with a somewhat tomboy style, but maybe deep inside, she wanted to be the erotized sexy one, and now that’s she’s free from YG, she can be herself

There definitely has to be more to the story than this. Why would he still want them after everything and also knowing that people are not on their side. He could sue them

Nope... BlackPink is THE brand. Not Lisa or any individual member for that matter. Sure, they're in demand, but, having Lisa alone for just media clout isn't going to recoup all that money. She's gonna be the highest paid model if that happens.

Chinese entertainment market is very unpredictable even for Chinese celebrities. Things change on a CCP whim. Remember how China put a ban on bulk buying KPop albums right before Lisa's solo debut? Then they dropped that ban a few months later. The only artist really affected was Lisa. I don't think they have any interest in a big star in their market who is not Chinese. They barely tolerate the ones who are. 

This is not a credible rumor. That amount is more than YGE's entire company-wide profit for 2022 (note that revenue and profit are different things). To offer an artist that amount of money just to switch labels, a company would have to: 

1. Have that kind of cash to throw around
2. Have an accounting department they can convince to spend that kind of money on this acquisition 

3. Feel confident that due to her activities alone, they will recoup that amount of profit on top of paying her whatever project-specific percentage she is due... and no high-profile idol is going to accept a contract offering a small percentage. 

She may be in demand, but the figure quoted is completely unbelievable. 

Its so strange that on twitter i see so many people with blackpink profile pics calling this a flop though. 

they didn't promote and support the boy groups like they did BP and 2ne1, they realized it is the age of girl groups and boy were they right. Blinks be so defensive lol what's wrong with throwing some respect to BP senior artists?

Tbf there really was no competition in the girl crush concept, one of Blackpink's main charms and selling points that were widely praised and went viral was their concept which at the time was considered refreshing and new and the girls mastered it, so in a sense they kinda didn't have any competition, in that department at least.

Also let's be realistic while OMG, Momoland, Dreamcatcher, Loona even Mamamoo (kinda) all had their hits or went on to become huge, they weren't threatning anyone around that time especially not a YG girl group

And they came from the same label as 2ne1 and big bang so they were highly anticipated from the start
