A recent social media post by a South Korean man named Kim Young Hoon has drawn attention.
Kim, who identifies himself as the "World's Highest IQ Record Holder" with an alleged score of 276, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had met with the founders of American Bitcoin, a company started by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, calling it "the smartest company in the world."
On September 24, Kim posted, "As the world's highest IQ record holder and Grand Master of Memory, today, I met the President of American Bitcoin, which was founded by @DonaldJTrumpJr and @EricTrump. I believe American Bitcoin will be the smartest company in the world, and it will play a key role in MAGA."
His latest bold claim has been gaining attention, and online users are questioning the author's credentials.
Online discussions have cast a skeptical scrutiny on Kim Young Hoon's claim of holding the world's highest IQ at 276.
Reddit users pointed out that there are no widely recognized or legitimate IQ organizations or databases that list YoungHoon Kim among their rankings. His name appears mainly on sites connected to his own websites or self-published groups, rather than on established platforms that track and verify high IQ scores.
The general sentiment expressed in online forums is that Kim may be intelligent, but users emphasize that an IQ of 276 is considered impossible, as credible tests rarely measure beyond the 160 to 200 range. They note that the 276 figure comes from the Giga Society, which many consider not to be a credible source compared to organizations like Mensa or standardized testing systems such as the WAIS or Stanford-Binet. Online commentators have also pointed out that Giga Society has direct personal ties to Kim himself, which makes its recognition of his score appear less independent.
