Famous plastic surgeon criticized for putting down the knife mid-surgery for an impromptu birthday party

It has been reported that a famous plastic surgeon in Gangnam is currently facing criticism for fooling around during a patient's operation.

On December 26, an online post titled "Plastic Surgeon J and the nurses' Instagram's" circulated the above pictures on the internet. In the pictures, the surgeon and the nurses can be seen taking pictures during a patient's operation. One nurse even holds a breast implant to her own chest as if mocking the patient for the procedure they are about to undergo. The nurses can also be seen celebrating the hospital director's birthday with a cake despite the ongoing operation.

The Instagram pictures have since been removed. However, that hasn't stopped the onslaught of criticism for the staff's inappropriate behavior, especially since the plastic surgeon is well-known for his/her work in the Gangnam district. 

Netizens commented, "Take away his practice! He shouldn't be a surgeon!" and "To call that a hospital... tsk tsk... would you like it if there were a birthday party during your surgery?  What's there to brag about to post this onto SNS?  That hospital has no common sense.  Who would go there now?  I'm scared now. I'm suspicious that they might use the surgical equipment to fix bracelets and don't sterilize them properly.  Shouldn't they close down?  What they're doing is severe."
