Lee Sung Hun, a Google engineer turned quant trainer and one of the main stars of the popular reality show 'Single's Inferno 5,' revealed that he fell for Choi Mina Sue at first sight.
On the March 7 episode of MBC’s 'Point of Omniscient Interfere,' Lee, known for his unexpected charm, opened up about his daily life.
The episode also touched on his resemblance to former South Korean President Lee Myung Bak. Lee admitted, “I do hear that people say I look like him, and honestly, I feel really sorry to them.” He added, “Before the broadcast, I had never heard anyone say that.” Despite his initial embarrassment, cast members were amazed by the resemblance, and even his friends reportedly contacted him after watching the show, half in disbelief.
Born in Korea but having studied in the United States from the age of eight, Lee is more comfortable in English and impressed viewers with his fluency. After working as an engineer at Google headquarters, he now works as a quant trainer, a high-level numerical analyst who predicts stock prices in fractions of a second. His impressive career surprised many.
Lee also reflected on his school days. When asked about his popularity back then, he said modestly, “I wasn’t particularly popular. I mostly got along with people who liked diligent, well-behaved students.”
When it comes to love, Lee is fully committed. He explained, “Once I choose someone, I focus completely on them.” Recalling his first meeting with Choi Mina Sue, he said, “She appeared wearing a yellow dress and had an aura about her. We connected so well in conversation. I fell for her at first sight.”
When host Jun Hyun Moo asked if his mother liked Choi Mina Sue, Lee said, “She liked her very much,” showing that his parents also approved of his interest. Though a precise and calculating expert in stock predictions, Lee’s genuine and unguarded charm is evident when it comes to love.
