Min Hee Jin, CEO of ooak Records, will personally address the public after winning the first trial in her legal dispute with HYBE.
On February 25th KST, ooak Records announced that Min Hee Jin will hold a press conference at 1:45 p.m. at a location in Jongno gu, Seoul.
The press conference has been arranged to explain her position on the recently delivered first trial ruling and to outline her future response strategy.
Previously, on the 12th, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed HYBE’s lawsuit seeking confirmation of the termination of the shareholder agreement. The court also ruled that HYBE must bear the legal costs. In addition, it recognized the validity of the put option exercised by Min and ordered HYBE to pay approximately 25.5 billion KRW(~18 million USD) in stock purchase proceeds.
In response, HYBE filed an appeal on the 19th and applied for a stay of execution to suspend enforcement of the first trial ruling until the appeal is resolved. The court granted the request.
As the legal battle is expected to continue into a second trial, attention is focused on what message Min Hee Jin will deliver and what plans she will present moving forward.
