Jun Hyun Moo's past support for his former colleagues at KBS has been brought to light, along with the difficult circumstances they faced during a major labor dispute. On the February 22 episode of the KBS2 program 'Boss in the Mirror', Jun Hyun Moo visited the KBS announcer’s office for the first time in 14 years. During the visit, his former colleagues shared previously unrevealed accounts of his kindness, specifically highlighting a 20 million won donation he made to support staff during a period of prolonged industrial action.

The strikes at KBS during that era were primarily driven by employees demanding editorial independence and protesting political interference in the network's management. These walkouts often lasted for months, during which participating announcers and journalists received no salary, leading to severe financial strain. Announcer Kim Bo Min disclosed that Jun Hyun Moo’s donation was intended to assist fellow announcers struggling with basic living expenses. She noted that the amount was so substantial that the recipients initially decided to return the money. Jun Hyun Moo explained his reasoning, stating that as someone who had shared the same profession, he was deeply concerned about his colleagues' ability to pay bills and sustain their families without a steady income.

This act of solidarity occurred at a time when Jun Hyun Moo also publicly expressed his support for the restoration of fair reporting at his former workplace. During his acceptance speech at the MBC Entertainment Awards, he famously mentioned his hope for "spring breezes to blow in my hometown," a phrase widely understood as a wish for the resolution of the KBS internal conflict. Announcer Um Ji In recalled that his words and financial support provided significant morale for the staff. Comedian Park Myung Soo also shared that Jun Hyun Moo offered to lend him money when his own appearance fees were delayed due to the strike, further illustrating the artist's consistent history of quietly supporting his peers.
