Actor Cha Tae Hyun shared behind-the-scenes stories from his new role as a first-time CEO, revealing that he is now co-running an entertainment agency with longtime friend Jo In Sung.
Appearing as a special MC on the variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny', Cha talked about launching the company with Jo In Sung, whom he has been close to for over 20 years. The two actors decided to team up as co-CEOs, combining their experience and trust to start a new chapter together.
Cha proudly said the company has been doing well, adding that they were even able to give performance bonuses to their staff. However, he also admitted that as a “rookie CEO,” he was caught off guard after distributing the bonuses, hinting at an unexpected moment that left him surprised.
The episode also marks the appearance of former Major League Baseball pitcher Kim Byung Hyun as the 100th “destiny couple” on the show. Despite his calm and confident image as a professional athlete, Kim showed visible nervousness ahead of filming, even asking if he could appear without his wife.
Kim Byung Hyun’s wife, Han Kyung Min, made her first-ever appearance on a couple-focused variety show after 17 years of marriage. Her elegant visuals and theater and film background impressed the MCs, many of whom admitted it was their first time seeing her.
During the broadcast, Han candidly expressed long-held frustrations, revealing that her husband had started 12 different businesses without discussing them with her. She shared that she often learned about his business openings and closures through acquaintances or news articles rather than directly from him.
As Kim poured his energy into his latest sausage business venture, emotions ran high, with Han eventually breaking down in tears in front of him, leaving Kim visibly flustered.
