YENA shocks fans by revealing that her weight recently dropped to 39 kg (85 lbs)

Soloist and former IZ*ONE member Choi Yena has just shocked fans with the details of her recent weight loss.

On January 5, Yena dropped a special behind-the-scenes video of her rehearsal for the 2025 Asia Artist Awards. While getting her hair and makeup done for the awards ceremony, Yena suddenly opened up about her recent struggles with weight gain and loss. 

"I've gained weight now... Recently, I got down to 39 kg (85 lbs). I was so shocked. So I ate a lot and gained weight, and now I weigh about 42-43 kg (92-94 lbs). I wasn't trying to lose weight - why did I lose so much? It just happened suddenly."

Fans expressed their concern for Yena as the clip of her weight reveal spread across social media. Many left comments of support and worry, including, "I hope she's okay now," "This isn't healthy for anyone," and "Companies need to let idols eat."
