Broadcaster Ham So Won has revealed that she is making efforts to reconcile with her ex-husband, Jin Hua.
On the MBN talk show 'Dongchimi,' airing at 11 PM on January 31, the topic 'Is Reconciliation Harder Than Divorce?' will be explored. The episode features Ham So Won alongside actress Kim Ji Yeon, actress Kim Hyun Sook, comedian Lee Hong Ryul, singers Noh Sa Yeon and Noh Sa Bong, and pop culture columnist Kim Tae Hoon, who will share candid conversations on the subject.
During the show, Ham So Won said, “Because it’s a marital issue, people around me tend to be careful with what they say, but ever since my last appearance on Dongchimi, many have been curious about our current situation.” She added, “Since divorced couples living together isn’t very realistic, some people even ask, ‘Are you really living together?’ I wanted to share these concerns openly.”
Previously, Ham So Won and Jin Hua revealed that they have been living under the same roof for the sake of their daughter, Hye Jeong, and spoke honestly about their feelings for the first time since their divorce.
Ham So Won went on to explain, “I am currently trying to work toward reconciliation with my ex-husband, Jin Hua. We set rules for ourselves with the idea of ‘not doing what the other person dislikes.’ There are still many issues we need to resolve one by one.”
She continued, “After the broadcast, I started to think that if we put in enough effort, reconciliation might be possible. We used to fight every time we met, so I had no intention of getting back together. But after living in the same house, I began to wonder if we could try a little harder.”
She also shared, “At the time of the divorce, I decided we would never see each other again, but because of our child, we kept meeting. Through that process, I’ve seen changes in him, and the resentment that had built up has gradually eased, bringing us a bit closer. We are having many conversations, but we will make any decision about reconciliation very carefully.”
The episode will also reveal glimpses of Ham So Won and Jin Hua’s changed daily life through footage. Ham So Won said with a laugh, “Once we set rules, I stop myself when I feel like raising my voice. We even agreed on fines for breaking the rules, so when I’m about to get angry, I end up laughing instead,” drawing laughter from the studio.
