AI enter-tech company Galaxy Corporation has received a Presidential Commendation for its contribution to the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit.
On January 20th KST, Galaxy Corporation announced that it received the award on January 19th, stating, “We received the Presidential Commendation in recognition of our contribution to national and social development through the hosting of the APEC Summit.” This award acknowledges the company's significant contribution to international events through cultural content as an enter-tech firm.
Galaxy Corporation appointed its artist G-DRAGON as the official ambassador for the 2025 APEC Summit. As the only enter-tech company to attend the welcome dinner, they played a key role as private diplomats.
Notably, G-DRAGON’s special performance at the welcome dinner captivated world leaders. President Lee Jae Myung, seated alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping, watched the performance, while major leaders such as Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney were seen filming the stage on their phones—an unprecedented sight.
CEO Choi Yong Ho reflected on the event, stating, “It was a meaningful occasion that went beyond simple participation to demonstrate the power of K-content.”
Meanwhile, Galaxy Corporation recently joined the ranks of unicorn companies, achieving a valuation of 1 trillion KRW. The company also continues to bridge cultural and economic exchanges between Korea and China, having accompanied President Lee Jae Myung on his economic delegation to China.
