After revealing a series of alleged "evidence" obtained through forensic extraction a day earlier, attorney Bu Ji Suk of Buyou Law Firm, representing the family of the late Kim Sae Ron, has come forward with another round of extracted text messages. This time, the messages contained direct mentions of Kim Soo Hyun's name.
On December 5 KST, Kim Sae Ron's side stated, "After the publication of evidence obtained through forensic extraction yesterday, some onlookers raised allegations that the conversations revealed did not necessarily occur between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun. Here, we present evidence to prove otherwise."

Additionally, Kim Sae Ron's side claimed, "Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun got together at Kim Soo Hyun's house on June 20, 2018, and ate braised spicy chicken. They recorded footage from this meal, which was saved on Kim Sae Ron's phone. Here is the metadata for the footage in question."
An accompanying set of transcribed KakaoTalk messages showed snippets of a conversation around the planned meeting time, supplies needed, as well as affectionate "good night" and "good morning" greetings.
Finally, the law firm stressed, "Once again, we would like to emphasize that all electronics devices previously owned by Kim Sae Ron have been submitted to the police for the investigation. There was no forgery of evidence. Please refrain from framing the family of the deceased as liars."
