According to media outlet 'Dispatch' on December 27 KST, South Korea's supreme court has rejected a second appeal filed by former NCT member Taeil and his two accomplices.
Previously, Taeil and 2 others, identified as Lee and Hong, were charged with sexually assaulting a foreign individual who was found to be incapable of resistance in June of 2024. During the initial court ruling, delivered in July, the three defendants were sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison, along with 40 hours of sexual violence education and programs.
Following the initial ruling, Taeil, Lee, and Hong filed for an appeal, which was also dismissed by the high court in October.
The three defendants then appealed a second time, and the supreme court has once again rejected the appeals, finalizing the sentence delivered by the district court at the initial ruling.
