
Actor Lee Jung Ha will be stepping away from fans for a while.
According to Namoo Actors on December 3 KST, “Lee Jung Ha applied to join the Marine Corps and recently received his acceptance notice. He will enlist at the Marine Corps Training Center on January 26, 2026, to fulfill his mandatory military service.”
There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment. The agency stated, “As the site will be shared by many service members and their families, we kindly ask for fans’ understanding.”
They added, “We sincerely thank you for the unwavering love you have shown Lee Jungh Ha. Please continue to send him warm support until the day he completes his service and returns even more mature.”
Born in 1998, Lee Jung Ha debuted in 2017 through the web drama Heart-Fluttering Warning and built a solid filmography with projects such as 'Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung', 'Run On', and 'Nevertheless'. His breakout came with the 2023 Disney+ series 'Moving', where his role as Bongseok earned him global recognition. He continued his steady acting career with the dramas 'Thank You', 'Goodboy', and the wavve series 'ONE: High School Heroes'.
Lee Jung Ha also expanded his presence outside acting, serving as an MBC 'Show! Music Core' MC and appearing on the variety program 'Apartment 404'. He is currently starring as elite engineering student Park Junghwan in the Coupang Play × Genie TV original series 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces', which is released every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
