Actor Lee Jong Suk wrapped up the year with a meaningful act of generosity.
Lee Jong Suk donated a total of 100 million KRW (about 70,000 USD) to Asan Medical Center in Seoul, contributing 50 million KRW (about 35,000 USD) each to the hospital development fund and a patient support fund for patients from vulnerable communities.
The donation will be used to establish advanced treatment systems that provide cancer patients with a better medical environment, as well as to support treatment and surgery expenses for underprivileged patients.
This marks the third consecutive year that Lee Jong Suk has continued his support. In 2023, he donated 100 million KRW (about 70,000 USD) to Asan Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital. The following year, he made another 100 million KRW (about 70,000 USD) donation to support children and patients from vulnerable backgrounds.
Lee Jong Suk has consistently extended help to various causes each year, including support for youth preparing for independent living, the Korean Medical Association, and international relief and development NGOs, personally seeking out areas where assistance is most needed.
In March, he also donated 100 million KRW (about 70,000 USD) to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to help residents affected by wildfires in the Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang regions, actively supporting disaster relief efforts.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk is spending the end of the year creating special memories with fans through his Asia fan meeting tour ‘With: Just Like This.’ He is also set to appear next year in the Disney+ original series ‘The Remarried Empress.’
