Actor Ahn Hyo Seop has donated 50 million KRW (approx. 34,721 USD).
On December 30, the UNICEF Korea Committee announced, “Ahn Hyo Seop has contributed 50 million KRW to support children around the world.”
Ahn Hyo Seop has consistently demonstrated his positive influence through continued acts of giving. Last year, he participated in the UNICEF Team campaign by donating his talent and also contributed 50 million KRW in celebration of Children’s Day.
The donation will be used to provide humanitarian aid to children worldwide who are suffering due to war, natural disasters, poverty, and disease. In particular, the funds will support the delivery of emergency relief supplies to children whose lives are threatened by extreme winter cold, as well as help ensure access to basic education.
Cho Mi Jin, Secretary General of the UNICEF Korea Committee, said, “The valuable funds and heartfelt support you have shared again this year will become a source of warmth, comfort, and hope for marginalized children across the globe.”
UNICEF is a United Nations agency and the only organization explicitly mandated to promote children’s rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo Seop is set to return to viewers in April next year through the SBS-TV drama 'Sold Out Again Today (Working English title).'
