KBS 2TV’s 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4 will move forward with its planned filming sessions on December 19 and 20. These shoots will mark the final recordings of 2025, although the year is ending on a somber note due to the recent departure of one of its cast members.

According to an exclusive confirmation from ize on December 9, the upcoming recording will be the program’s first since Jo Se Ho voluntarily stepped down amid controversy. Many viewers are now paying close attention to how the remaining members will address his absence during the shoot.

After the December 20 filming, the cast is also expected to attend the '2025 KBS Entertainment Awards' on the same day. Member Moon Seyoon will take on the role of MC for the ceremony. Jo Se Ho, having recently withdrawn from the program, will not appear at this year’s awards.

Throughout 2025, '2 Days & 1 Night' traveled across the country, delivering its trademark missions and comedic challenges. However, as allegations surfaced that connected Jo Se Ho to gang-related individuals, the comedian chose to step down. As a result, the show will finish in 2025 without him. Viewers are now watching closely to see how the program will move forward in 2026.

Earlier that day, Jo Se Ho released an official statement announcing his withdrawal from tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV’s '2 Days & 1 Night.' His agency A2Z Entertainment stated, Jo Se Ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the misunderstandings and controversies raised about him. He is fully aware of the discomfort felt by viewers who love these programs and does not wish for production staff who work tirelessly on these shows to be burdened by public scrutiny.”

The agency added that Jo decided after discussions with the production teams, explaining that he does not want the ongoing situation to create further strain. A2Z Entertainment also shared plans to take strong legal action to clear what they described as unfounded suspicions. They emphasized that they intend to resolve all doubts and help Jo Se Ho return in a healthy state.

Shortly after Jo Se Ho’s announcement, the production team of '2 Days & 1 Night' released its own statement. The staff explained that Jo and his agency believed continuing scheduled activities during a period of public concern would not be beneficial for the programs, the performer, or the viewers. The team said it respects Jo’s decision and confirmed that he will not appear in any future recordings except those already completed.

The program also stated, “We humbly accept the public’s concerns and will continue to do our best to create a show that meets viewers’ expectations.”

Jo Se Ho recently became the center of controversy after an individual identified as A claimed on social media that the comedian had ties to a known gang associate. On December 5, A2Z Entertainment firmly denied these allegations. The agency stated that the claims were based entirely on the accuser’s personal speculation and lacked a factual foundation. It also rejected suggestions that Jo received money or expensive gifts, stressing that the allegations were completely untrue.
