Super Junior’s Kim Heechul donates 100 Million KRW(~70,000 USD) to support cancer patients on group’s 20th anniversary

Super Junior member Kim Heechul has made a generous donation to support cancer patients.

On November 5 KST, Seoul Asan Medical Center announced that Kim Heechul had donated 100 million KRW (approximately $70,000 USD) to aid in cancer treatment.

The donation holds special meaning as it coincides with the 20th anniversary of Super Junior’s debut.

Kim Heechul shared, “I decided to make this donation in hopes that patients battling cancer can receive treatment in a safe and comfortable environment. Super Junior has been loved by many over the past 20 years, and I’m happy to be able to give back even a little of that love through this contribution.”

His donation will be used to help build advanced treatment systems for cancer patients at the hospital.

Debuting in 2005 as a member of Super Junior, Kim Heechul has been loved for his handsome visuals and exceptional variety show wit. Most recently, he made headlines with a lighthearted joke about “suing” fellow member Donghae for posting unflattering photos of him online.
