On October 28, &TEAM held their media showcase ahead of the release of their debut Korean-language mini-album ‘Back to Life.’
“When I first heard that we’ll debut in Korea, I was, first of all, really surprised,” EJ expressed. “We were just so excited to meet our fans who had been waiting so much for us. And I thought that we really have to do a good job. That’s what we thought, so we poured everything into it. I hope you enjoy the journey with us.”
For Harua, the feeling was exciting rather than being concerned. He added that this project takes them a step closer to their ultimate goal of becoming a global group.
Taki added, “This is something that I have been dreaming of since I was really young so I was really, really happy to hear the news. But at the same time, debuting in Korea means that a lot more eyes will be on us. So that’s a little bit of a concern,” citing language barrier as one of these concerns.
K then said later during the Q&A that this album is a “wonderful challenge” for the band to take on. “I really want to showcase our teamwork and to do that,” he said.
Nicholas, who was part of the survival program I-LAND alongside K, EJ, and Taki, expressed his joy at their debut in Korea, “which is the place I began really pursuing my dream.”
‘Back to Life’ is the three-year-old group’s first Korean album, featuring the tracks “Back to Life,” “Lunatic,” “Mismatch,” “Rush,” “Heartbreak Time Machine,” and “Who am I.”
Maki shared that this project reflects their growth and the teamwork they’ve built over the past years since 2022. “Just like the title, it represents our fierce determination for a new leap forward,” he added.
Fuma then emphasized that the title track, “Back to Life,” is “not just about the power, but also the choreography reflects the nervousness and pain that occurs when you’re challenging yourself to reach your goal.”
On their goals, JO and K shared that they’re hoping to win on local music shows and embark on a world tour.
