Lee Mi Joo, who left 'Hangout with Yoo' last May, made a surprise visit to the show's filming set—only to leave just as quickly.
On the October 18 broadcast of the MBC variety show, Lee Mi Joo appeared unexpectedly while the cast was in the middle of recruiting candidates for 'Insamo (People Without Popularity Club).'
During the episode, the members discussed their own chances of qualifying for 'Insamo.' The first to be mentioned was Joo Woo Jae, who declined and confidently said, "Everyone in Cheongdam-dong knows who I am."
Then, Yoo Jae Suk remarked about Lee Yi Kyung, saying, "To put it nicely, he’s a jack-of-all-trades entertainer."
However, Joo Woo Jae playfully commented, "He’s neither this nor that," while HaHa chimed in to tease Yoo Jae Suk, calling him "someone who’s not handsome but still popular."
Later, Joo Woo Jae suggested forming a female version of 'Insamo,' saying, "If we pick female members, two names are already set—Park Jin Joo and Lee Mi Joo," referring to their former castmates.
Right at that moment, Lee Mi Joo suddenly appeared on set, completely surprising the members.
Holding a microphone, she cheerfully announced, "I’m a guest!" She then explained, "I stopped by the salon after my radio schedule and happened to run into a staff member I knew. They told me you were filming 'Hangout with Yoo,' so I came to say hi."
When the members told her they were filming for 'Insamo,' Lee Mi Joo innocently asked, "Is that a group for people who are popular and lovable?" HaHa replied, "You really haven’t been watching 'Hangout with Yoo,' huh?" showing mock disappointment that she hadn’t kept up with the show since her departure.
Joo Woo Jae then explained, "It’s a club for people who aren’t popular compared to their fame. If we were doing a female version, you’d be our number one pick."
To that, Lee Mi Joo laughed and said, "This isn’t where I belong. Thank you so much, and it was nice seeing you," before quickly leaving the set.
