Actor Lee Jang Woo, who is set to marry in November, revealed that he hasn’t been able to take his wedding photos because he hasn’t lost enough weight.
On the October 7 broadcast of MBC’s 'Countryside Life with Lee Jang Woo 2,' the actor was shown diligently tending to radish crops in Ganghwa-do. After farming and enjoying a snack, Lee lay down on the grass in the shade, holding a bottle of perilla oil he had received as a gift, creating a lighthearted moment for viewers.
Later, back at home, Lee took some time to respond to belated birthday messages and had a heartwarming phone call with his mother. His mother said, “It’s your birthday today. Congratulations! I couldn’t even make seaweed soup for you,” to which Lee replied, “I actually make it better myself.” His mother countered, “It’s different when you make it and when I make it.” She also reminded him, “Don’t skip dinner and eat well,” and Lee assured her, “I never skip meals.”
During the conversation, Lee shared, “No one believes I was ever in an incubator as a baby.” His mother added, “You were born very small,” prompting Lee to reflect with a bittersweet laugh, “I was very small, so why am I so chubby now?”
Expressing both affection and concern, his mother advised, “You need to lose weight healthily. At our age, if you just lose weight, your muscles will shrink and it won’t look good.” Lee tried to defend himself, saying, “I do squats every morning,” but footage showed him snacking on dried shrimp that very morning, eliciting laughter from viewers.
