Global stars G-DRAGON and Son Heung Min delighted fans by revealing their warm friendship and mutual respect in a new video released on Hana TV’s YouTube channel, titled “A rare trio! Kang Ho Dong X G-DRAGON X Heung Min – Behind the Knee-Drop Interview.”
In the clip, the BIG BANG leader and the Son are seen chatting affectionately. When host Kang Ho Dong asked if they already knew each other, he teased, “I heard there was an article calling this a friendship between world-class stars—didn’t you two exchange gifts?”
G-DRAGON responded, “I gave him a limited-edition perfume. I always give one to my friend Heung Min,” to which Son Heung-min smiled and added, “We often exchange small gifts.”
When G-DRAGON asked if Son was originally a football fan, Son replied, “Not so much a football fan—I’m more of a Son Heung Min fan,” making everyone laugh. When Kang Ho Dong suddenly asked, “What about ssireum (Korean wrestling)?” G-DRAGON humorously replied, “I like champions,” drawing laughter.
Son Heung Min also expressed his admiration, saying, “Is there anyone who doesn’t like BIGBANG? I’ve always told him I’m a fan.”
Their friendship first caught public attention when G-DRAGON gifted Son a custom-designed limited perfume, featuring his signature daisy motif and Son’s jersey number “7.” Son later shared a photo of the gift in appreciation.
Earlier this year, in an interview with TNT Sports, Son revealed that the first album he ever bought was by BIGBANG, adding, “BIGBANG has always been one of Korea’s most iconic groups. G-DRAGON is not only my friend but also an artist I truly admire.”
