A recent fan account of NewJeans member Haerin signing an autograph at a dental clinic has been drawing attention online.
At the same time, the group’s agency ADOR is facing criticism after posting an advertisement on NewJeans’ official channel even though the group has suspended all independent activities.
On September 5, ADOR uploaded promotional content for a contact lens brand that NewJeans is endorsing. The post featured selfies of the members in the order of Hyein, Haerin, Danielle, Hanni and Minji wearing the product. Fans expressed frustration since NewJeans have stopped all activities following their notice to terminate their exclusive contracts.
Last year, NewJeans submitted a certification of contents to ADOR notifying the agency of their decision to terminate their contracts. This led to ongoing legal disputes. At the third court hearing held on August 24, members Minji and Danielle personally attended and stated that the dismissal of former CEO Min Hee Jin was a key reason for the termination.
ADOR and NewJeans are scheduled to attend their second mediation session on September 11.
