Rapper and TV personality GREE (Kim Dong Hyun), son of broadcaster Kim Gu Ra, made a heartfelt appeal for Marine Corps recruitment while attending the '2025 Gyeonggi Office of Education Career & Startup Fair'at KINTEX in Ilsan.
Appearing at the booth for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, GREE encouraged young people with the message, “Young men, please come to the Marines.”
The rapper, who enlisted in July 2024, revealed at the time that he chose the Marines as a personal challenge to build independence and resilience, calling his enlistment a “turning point.”
Since joining, GREE has earned recognition as a model Marine, receiving commendations for facility and environmental management. He is scheduled to be discharged in January 2026, with 148 days of service remaining.
Fans and netizens alike have praised his dedication, noting that he continues to make headlines even during his military service.
