ILLIT has achieved another meaningful milestone in Japan.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) recently announced its latest streaming certifications, and ILLIT’s track "Lucky Girl Syndrome" from their first mini album 'SUPER REAL ME' earned a Gold certification.
RIAJ grants certifications based on accumulated streams: Gold (50 million), Platinum (100 million), and Diamond (500 million). Lucky Girl Syndrome surpassed 50 million streams.
Released in March last year, "Lucky Girl Syndrome" is a dance-pop track highlighted by its playful whistle theme line. The song, which captures the feeling of small everyday fortunes, radiates positivity.
With this achievement, ILLIT now holds three certified streaming tracks in Japan. Their debut song "Magnetic" earned Double Platinum (200 million streams) about 10 months after release.
Their first original Japanese track, "Almond Chocolate," also proved popular, receiving Gold certification around five months after release—the fastest-ever certification for a foreign artist’s song in Japan.
Meanwhile, ILLIT’s "little monster" music video, from their third mini album, has been nominated for Production Design at Germany’s 2025 Ciclope Awards.
