The manager of OSAKA Ojo Gang, the winning team of Mnet’s 'World of Street Woman Fighter,' has issued a statement addressing allegations of embezzlement and contractual misconduct.
On September 10, the manager, identified as Mr. A, posted on OSAKA Ojo Gang’s official account, firmly denying claims that he failed to deliver tour schedules to the members.
“The claim that I withheld tour schedules from the members is false. Route59, the concert organizer, accused me of being ‘difficult’ during negotiations, but in reality, I was protecting the team,” he wrote. “I strongly opposed having the members rehearse, film, and practice for long hours without fair compensation, but my demands were ignored. Around that time, Route59 approached members individually and persuaded them into separate contracts with misleading information.”
Mr. A also rejected accusations of financial misconduct.“I have never hidden prize money or appearance fees. The funds transferred from Korea did not match the invoices, and essential tax certificates were missing, which delayed proper payments. My priority has always been to ensure accuracy and fairness in all financial matters.”
He further insisted that his role had been to safeguard OSAKA Ojo Gang’s opportunities, not obstruct them: “When some program officials tried to block the members from pursuing outside activities, I fought so they could continue their work. I have spent countless sleepless nights negotiating and advocating for them.”
Addressing growing controversy around Ibuki, who has faced criticism after withdrawing from the 'World of Street Woman Fighter' tour, Mr. A defended her integrity. “Ibuki has always prioritized the team’s best interests. All malicious claims against her are untrue. The allegation that she interfered in negotiations with tour organizers is completely baseless. Even this morning, I appealed to Route59 for a peaceful resolution, but they dismissed the request and stated Ibuki was no longer needed for the tour.”
Despite his defense, Mr. A’s statement was later deleted, as was a separate post by OSAKA Ojo Gang’s six members claiming that Ibuki had failed to honor a promise to dismiss a “problematic manager.”
The dispute escalated after Ibuki’s absence from the 'World of Street Woman Fighter' tour sparked backlash. While Ibuki argued she was pressured into an unfair contract, Route59 countered that she and her manager demanded undisclosed side agreements excluding appearance fees. According to Route59, when these demands were rejected, Ibuki cited health concerns as her reason for withdrawal.
In closing his now-deleted statement, Mr. A emphasized his commitment to fairness and transparency: “From the beginning, my only goal has been OSAKA Ojo Gang’s success. I still hope for open dialogue with the members and a resolution that respects both fairness and dignity. I ask for continued support for the team.”
