The nominations for the BreakTudo Awards 2025 were revealed on Tuesday (September 9), and several K-pop acts made the list. BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, BTS's Jin, aespa, and more are among this year’s nominees, highlighting the growing impact of K-pop on the Brazilian award show.
BLACKPINK leads this year’s K-pop nominees, powered by the release of “JUMP” in July. The girl group is up for International Female Group, International Music Video with “JUMP,” and International Fandom for their fans, Blinks. On top of that, Jennie scored two solo nods: International Female Artist and International Hit of the Year with “Like Jennie.” Lisa also secured nominations for Global Artist and International Collaboration of the Year with “BORN AGAIN,” her track with Doja Cat and RAYE.
The International Female Group category is dominated by K-pop acts, with aespa, BABYMONSTER, ITZY, TWICE, and BLACKPINK joining BINI (Philippines), FLO (UK), and 4EVE (Thailand) on the shortlist. Meanwhile, the International Male Group race also sees a strong K-pop presence: ATEEZ, Enhypen, Seventeen, Stray Kids, and TXT are competing against BE:FIRST (Japan), Big Time Rush (US), and SB19 (Philippines).
Among soloists, BTS’s Jin earned a nod for International Hit of the Year with “Don’t Say You Love Me,” released in May and already surpassing 400 million streams on Spotify.
The K-pop Hit of the Year nominees are TXT (“Beautiful Strangers”), Stray Kids (“Chk Chk Boom”), aespa (“Dirty Work”), BABYMONSTER (“DRIP”), ITZY (“Girls Will Be Girls”), HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami) (“Golden”), BOYNEXTDOOR (“Nice Guy”), and IVE (“REBEL HEART”).
The BreakTudo Awards 2025 will take place on November 18 in São Paulo, with the international broadcast on Telemilênio’s YouTube channel. In Brazil, the show will also air on Box Brazil Play, Prime Video, Claro TV+, and Yeeaah TV.
