BABYMONSTER has become the fastest K-pop girl group to surpass 10 million subscribers on YouTube.
Just 1 year and 5 months after their debut, the group’s official YouTube channel has reached this milestone, further solidifying their status as 'next-generation YouTube queens.'
In addition, ahead of their comeback on October 10 KST, BABYMONSTER has added another achievement with their third music video surpassing 300 million views on YouTube.
On September 28, YG Entertainment announced:
"BABYMONSTER’s 1st full album title track ‘DRIP’ music video surpassed 300 million views on YouTube at around 2:58 AM (KST). It achieved this about 331 days after its release at 1 PM on November 1 last year."
The MV immediately rose to No. 1 on the 'most viewed videos in 24 hours' chart upon release, remained on YouTube’s global daily chart for 19 consecutive days, and surpassed 100 million views in just 21 days.
The track also performed well on the charts, entering Billboard Global Excl. US at No. 16 and the Billboard Global 200 at No. 30, marking the group’s highest rankings to date.
With this, BABYMONSTER now has three music videos with over 300 million views. Their pre-debut song "BATTER UP" and their 1st mini album title track "SHEESH," which broke the record as the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to reach the milestone, also achieved the same view count.
In total, the group boasts 11 videos with over 100 million views, and their cumulative views have surpassed 5.6 billion. With such rapid growth, anticipation is high for what lies ahead.
Congratulations to BABYMONSTER!
