INFINITE's leader, Kim Sungkyu, is confirmed to play L, the brilliant and mysterious detective, in the latest Korean production of 'Death Note: The Musical'. He will be sharing the role with B1A4's Sandeul and Tang Junsang.
Sungkyu, while primarily known for his group INFINITE and solo music career, has earned recognition on stage in past musicals like 'Gwanghwamun Sonata,' 'Red Book,' 'Xcalibur,' and 'Kinky Boots.' He earned a lot of praise in the role of Evan Hansen in the Korean production of the musical 'Dear Evan Hansen'. His past stage work showcases both his vocal strength and acting nuance, as he embodies vastly different characters on stage while delivering magnificent vocal performances.
Preview performances are set to begin October 14, 2025, at the Seoul D-Cube Link Art Center.
