MADEIN, whose agency has recently come under fire over allegations of sexual misconduct, will participate in Japan’s largest fashion event, 'Kansai Collection 2025 A/W'.
On July 19, 143 Entertainment announced that MADEIN is set to attend Kansai Collection 2025 A/W, which will be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka on August 6. Members Mashiro and Miyu will reportedly walk the runway during the event.
The agency also confirmed that MADEIN will make a comeback in August, and preparations for the new release are currently underway. Specific details regarding the concept and exact date have not yet been disclosed.
However, the group’s activities are being overshadowed by controversy. The CEO of 143 Entertainment is facing allegations of sexually assaulting a former member of MADEIN. According to the Hanbit Center, a human rights advocacy group, the alleged victim recently filed a criminal complaint with local police, and the case is expected to move forward soon.
In response, the agency denied the claims, stating, “There are many parts of the allegation that are untrue. We are actively cooperating with the police investigation and will clarify the distorted aspects of the case with objective evidence.”
The agency also added, “It is deeply regrettable that the accusation was filed around six months after the incident, especially after a large settlement was demanded based on a one-sided claim and was subsequently rejected.”
MADEIN, a multinational girl group that debuted in September 2024, has been active not only in music but also in fashion-related promotions. Despite the controversy involving the company, the group continues to push forward with their scheduled appearances and activities in Japan.
