Lee Hyori is gaining attention once again, not for a comeback or a television appearance, but for her ongoing commitment to animal welfare during a severe heatwave.
On July 26, Lee shared several photos of abandoned dogs at a shelter on her social media account. She captioned the images with heartfelt messages such as "You’re amazing" and "So proud of you for enduring this heat."
Expressing her admiration for the dogs as they coped with the extreme temperatures, she added that cooling stones had been donated so the dogs could lie on something cold. She expressed her gratitude by writing, "We received a donation of cool stones so they can lie on something cold. So grateful."
This post follows a series of generous actions. Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang Soon recently donated two tons of dog food to an animal shelter. After filming a commercial for Kurly Inc, she reportedly donated an additional three tons of food to a shelter for abandoned dogs in Jeju.
Beyond donations, Lee has also encouraged temporary fostering of stray dogs through her personal social media account. She has even helped with construction work at a dog shelter, further demonstrating her dedication to improving the lives of animals.
Lee Hyori’s continued efforts to support animal welfare, even under challenging conditions, have once again shown her deep compassion and influence in spreading kindness.
