Actress Kim Hee Sun once again proved her enduring popularity as a Hallyu star on the July 31st episode of JTBC’s variety show 'One Meal Show.'
In Episode 4, guest Lee Kyu Hyung joined Kim Hee Sun and Tak Jae Hoon for a special “one-meal journey.” The trio explored Shinheung Market, a rising hotspot near Hannam-dong, accompanied by Lee, who mentioned that he frequents the nearby Namsan area as a local resident.
While strolling through the market, passersby were visibly starstruck by Kim Hee Sun’s appearance, calling out, “You’re so beautiful!” and “You look like a doll!” In response, Kim playfully asked, “What did you say?” with a smile, clearly enjoying the compliments.
The group later encountered a Chinese resident of Korea, who was visiting Haebangchon with a tourist friend. When Kim introduced herself by saying, “I’m Kim Hee Sun,” the local immediately replied, “I know,” showing her widespread recognition. The tourist also confirmed they were well aware of the iconic actress.
Kim Hee Sun, often referred to as one of the original Hallyu stars, graciously accepted compliments from the Chinese fans, including one remarking, “Your face is really small.” She jokingly responded in Mandarin, “Yes, hǎo (好),” showing her playful side.
Before leaving, Kim Hee Sun, Tak Jae Hoon, and Lee Kyu Hyung posed for photos with the fans, offering warm and sincere fan service.
