G-DRAGON asserted his status as a national treasure and K-pop royalty during his recent visit to Taiwan, taking the country by storm with his presence.
From July 11 to 13, G-DRAGON held his 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR "Übermensch"' at Taipei Arena over three days, meeting a total of 36,000 fans in Taiwan. The concert series reaffirmed his immense popularity and commanding stage presence.
News of his visit dominated local media, with Taiwan’s major TV networks and outlets covering his arrival, concerts, and media exhibitions in detail. Notably, China Times dedicated its entire front page to a feature on G-DRAGON—an exceptionally rare honor for a Korean artist.
Fans across Taiwan celebrated his visit by filling the streets with LED billboards, banners, bus wrap ads, and fan-painted murals.
In return, G-DRAGON delivered a powerful, professional performance that electrified the audience. Breaking from his iconic red rose jacket, he debuted a new version adorned with multicolored roses. His striking blue-violet hair also captured attention. He delivered a powerful two-hour solo performance, captivating the audience with his distinct artistry and charisma.
The concert featured an immersive production that incorporated advanced technology, including AI and real-time visuals, along with a live band. The show artistically interpreted the concept of "Übermensch", drawn from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche.
All 36,000 seats for the Taipei shows sold out completely, with ticketless fans even gathering outside the venue in hopes of experiencing the moment. Meanwhile, tickets for the "G-DRAGON Media Exhibition: Übermensch," which opens on July 18 at the landmark Taipei 101, sold out within just 20 minutes, crashing the site 10 minutes after sales began.
Following successful shows in Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, and Melbourne, G-DRAGON continues to prove his legendary status in K-pop with the Taipei leg of his tour. He is set to perform next in Kuala Lumpur on July 19 and 20, followed by stops in Jakarta, Hong Kong, Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris, as his third world tour, 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR "Übermensch"', continues across Asia, the U.S., and Europe.
