Close Your Eyes shares dream titles they hope to earn with new release ‘Snowy Summer’.
Rising boy group Close Your Eyes recently opened up about their hopes for their second mini-album Snowy Summer during a media interview held at a café in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Formed through the JTBC audition program 'Project 7', Close Your Eyes is a multinational group that made headlines even before debut thanks to the involvement of creative director Lee Hae In, known for her work with Kiss of Life. The group saw instant success, taking first place on SBS M’s 'The Show' just six days after debut, followed by a win on KBS 2TV’s 'Music Bank' three days later.
Reflecting on their journey, Seo Kyung Bae shared, “Being on a live music show stage has been a lifelong dream. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us—it gave me the courage to keep going.”
Jang Yeo Jun added that their performance quality has improved significantly since their first album: “We’ve gained stage experience, and now we want to bring high-energy performances with solid live vocals.”
The group’s international members also reflected on the support they’ve received. Kenshin, from Japan, shared that his family and friends have been promoting the group locally, while Ma Jingximang, from China, said, “My parents were worried, but now they’re happy to see me doing well.” He also expressed joy at finally being able to connect with fans via DMs, something he had long looked forward to.
Close Your Eyes’s debut album 'ETERNALT' stood out with its literary concept and poetic lyrics. Music critique outlet IZM commented, “It feels like the boundaries of K-pop are breaking down. This group leans more toward indie pop or singer-songwriter vibes than traditional idol music.”
Jang Yeo Jun recalled his first impression of the debut title track All the Poetry and Novels in Me, saying it felt refreshingly different from typical idol music: “It made me excited about the kind of diverse concepts we could explore.”
Their second mini-album Snowy Summer features four tracks: double title tracks “Snowy Summer” and “Paint Candy”, along with “ㅠ (You)” and “Bubble Tea in My Left Hand.”
